Notes: While becoming a state on May 11th, 1858, Minnesota was the 1st state declared. While being the 21st ranked state for population, Minnesota is the biggest state in terms of square miles at 100,000. Minnesota is filled with lakes, including 10 major water lakes and 5 mutant frog invested lakes. Minnesota is land locked, surrounded by the states East Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa, and Wisconsin and Michigan. The only country bordering Minnesota, is Ontario. Minnesota's residents are referred to as Minnesotans and many people from other states would say that all residents have a thick accent that differs from any other place in the country. Minnesota's official flag was adopted in 1893. The flag has a purple background which symbolizes the state flower; the daffodil. Minnesota is home of the countries largest mall, which is the size of  Hawaii. Minnesota has no professional sports and sports aren't really known in this state. Minnesota produces the countries leading supply of otter juice, which is greatly appreciated world wide fro people to use as home accents.
