opposition arguement

Year Round School (Opposition, against YRS)

When thinkning about school, you mainly think of going for 9 months with small breaks here and there, and then looking at the Year Round Schooling system, you go for about 45 days, small break of about 15 days, then pick right back up on the 45 day class period schedule. Having year round school will tire out the students, be exspeneisve to the district and will have many scheduling conflicts with family and school. Having year round school may sound like a good idea, but when thinking about it, the time restrictions and event schedule conflicts play a big role and suggest maybe we shouldnt have YRS. In an article on Scholastic.com, it talks about the multi-schedule juggle. Patricia McCracken, who went to a YRS as a child says that she found the 2 week breaks disruptive and she felt that she couldnt get involved with school since she would have the next week off from school. When linking my thesis to the cited source, I can use Ms. McCracken as a thorough source due to the fact that she has attended this schooling and can vouch when she says that this isnt how school should be.
